Scouts BSA Summer Resident Camp at Camp Fiesta Island, on beautiful Mission Bay !

CFI beachfront

Spend a week of Scouting adventure on the beach! This Aquatic Center facility is located on beautiful Mission Bay. You'll camp among the sandy dunes and set sail on Mission Bay. Campers at CFI enjoy the ultimate waterfront experience.

Scouts can kayak the bay, test their skills in the famous Flying Hull and Nautical Survival programs, or motorboat and stand-up paddleboard.

Along with our traditional popular merit badge and first-year "Mariner" programs, the CFI summer camp experience will feature exciting activities for Scouts of all ages. Pack your swimsuit and sunscreen for a great summer camp!

Program Information

Open Program Day!

The Open Program Day gives Scouts a break from the regular class schedule with opportunities to experience the open activities at the waterfront, craft area, and several 1/2-day additional merit badges. There is also the opportunity to get off the island and visit local San Diego attractions such as the San Diego Zoo, Sea World, USS Midway, or go on a chartered deep-sea fishing boat excursion, and more!

‍Extend your adventure with our "Camp San Diego" option! Pitch your tents at our 15-acre Camp Balboa, next door to the world-famous San Diego Zoo. You can add days before or after your Fiesta Island week to enjoy the Zoo, Sea World, a Padres game at Petco Park, the USS Midway aircraft carrier, and more!

Early Registration Incentive

Register online and pay initial unit deposit by November 15, 2024 AND pay in full by April 30, 2025. To recieve free t-shirts for your unit!

Free Adult Special

Bring 8 or more scouts to camp and pay in full by April 30, 2025, and you will receive a credit for the cost of 1 Adult Leader.

Payment Policy

ALL camp fees must be paid in full two weeks prior to the start of the camp session including activity fees. Unpaid activity fees within two-week period are subject to cancellation. Registrations with unpaid participants fees at time of merit badge signups may have their schedules dropped.

Unit Deposit is applied toward overall Troop fees owed.

Cancellation Policy

Units that cancel/drop participants will forfeit any payments due by that date, whether payment has been made or not.

‍We have a NO REFUND POLICY.
‍
Each payment is based on the number of campers, not named individuals. If there are any reductions in total numbers (youth or adult) after each payment due date, the unit will be responsible for the money due at the time of the cancellation, even if no payment has been made. We encourage you to find a replacement if a scout or leader needs to cancel. Cancellations due to extenuating circumstances are subject to approval.

Cancellations must be done in writing and emailed to sdiccamp@scouting.org.

No troop … no problem!

Scouts who cannot attend camp with their own troop, or wish to attend for additional weeks, may participate as a provisional Scout. Scouts will be paired with a host troop depending on registrations. It is an excellent opportunity to meet new friends and experience summer camp in a whole new way. For more information and registration for Provisional Scout, please get in touch with the Camping Department.

Day Trekker Scouts BSA Camp

Day Trekker Camp at Camp Fiesta Island is a Monday - Friday Day Camp Program exclusively for Scouts BSA. Campers can enroll in any age-appropriate day programs, including Mariners (Trail to First Class), personal watercraft, and all the traditional merit badges offered at Camp Fiesta Island!

FAQs

Monday Check-ins

Monday check-ins (at 7 am) are available.

Fees for Converting a Scout Youth to an Adult Spot.

Scout Youth participant slots may be converted to adult spot. This transfer is charged a $15 fee for the difference in cost, the remainder of the difference is refunded. Less than 30 days prior to camp converting is no longer an option.

Merit Badge Sign Ups

Merit Badge signups will be enabled in May 2025. An email will be sent to all registration owners with date, time, and link a few days before the sign ups go live. Your unit must be paid in full prior to merit badges sign ups.

Mandatory Number of Leaders

A minimum of two registered Adults per unit are required at camp. Adult participants must have completed YPT and be registered in their council. Please contact us if Adult leadership is an issue.

Public Health Closure Notice

If by order of public health officials, the council is not able to conduct camp, we will offer units or campers either a full refund or a future credit for camp with a 2025 price lock; those choosing a credit will be exempt from any 2026 fee increases.

Webelos & AOL Resident Camp

We are running 2 sessions of Webelos and AOL camp at Camp Fiesta Island this year.

Webelos & AOL Scouts will enjoy fun and challenging experiences in boating, swimming, camping, crafts, nature, and Scout skills. Our Camp Activities emphasize fun in the outdoors and are designed for the Webelos & AOL age, rank, and skills.

Attend as a Pack, Den, or individual Scout(s) with parent/guardian.

This camping experience is designed for 4th and 5th grade Webelos/AOL Scouts only. No siblings or younger Cub Scouts.

A minimum of 2 adult leaders must accompany the unit/den to camp and units must maintain a 4:1 ratio of youth to adults.  

Individual scouts(s) with parent/guardian registration must still meet the 4:1 ratio.

Activity Sign-Ups

Activity Sign-Up is scheduled for the Parent / Leader Meeting the First evening in Camp. Scouts will be watching a movie and getting to know each other during the meeting.

Camperships

Partial camperships are available for those families who need financial assistance.

A Campership can be used towards Summer Camps, Day Camps, Counselor Training Program (CTP),NYLT, and Spring Camp. Only one Campership per year is awarded to each individual; this includes using a voucher from the Boys & Girls Foundation.

COUNSELOR TRAINING PROGRAM

A unique opportunity for Scouts and Venturers 14 & 15 years old to: Learn NewLeadership Skills, Enjoy Summer Camp, Make New Friends, Have FUN, Earn MeritBadges or Ranger Requirements!!!

Participants will participate in a 3-week specialized program which will involve a half-day of work experience with a half-day of summer camp experience, all under the guidance of a dedicated Counselor Training Director!

Fees:

  • SanDiego-Imperial Council & Las Vegas Council Scouts — $670
  • All other councils Scouts — $700

Registration is limited for each session.  All participants will receive 2 t-shirts, a hooded sweatshirt, all meals, and full lodging! Participants may only attend one session per summer camp facility.
